Charter and Autonomous School Leadership Academy

• A minimum of 3.0 or better grade point average in the last 60 units of upper division undergraduate coursework Bachelor’s Degree
• Approval from your CMO, Board, or administrator (whichever is more applicable to your current position)
• Willingness of your administrator to be your mentor for this program

• Charter or autonomous school experience
• Non-profit experience
• Other pertinent work experience
• Teaching credential
• Work experience in a non-charter or non-autonomous school

• Responses to these questions can be no longer than 1 page. Citations are optional.
• State your expectations and needs for the Charter and Autonomous School Leadership Academy (CASLA) program?
• Imagine you have a problematic teacher, well-liked by peers and parents, but is ineffective with students as evidenced by student achievement data, what would you do?
• Imagine one component of your school’s charter or mission is not being fulfilled, e.g. parent involvement, additional assignments for teachers, community activities, project-based instruction. (You may choose your own focus or use our examples). What would you do?
